About

Sydney Throop is a political technologist and campaign strategist with over a decade of experience leading high-impact electoral efforts and pioneering technology-driven solutions in the progressive space. Her work spans presidential to local races, where she’s built scalable operations, curated data-informed strategies, and driven the adoption of cutting-edge tools to win campaigns and mobilize voters.

Sydney’s recent focus has been on transforming the Democratic tech landscape. As Vice President of Sales and Partnerships at Relentless, she helped scale digital tools for distributed organizing, and at Movement Labs, she served as Director of Political Innovation—leading cross-functional teams to develop sophisticated tech stacks that powered experimentation and rapid iteration across political programs.

Most recently she was a Fellow with LOFT and Georgetown McDonough School of Business Executive Leadership program. There Sydney deepened her business and product strategy skills while exploring critical gaps in the Democratic tech ecosystem. She plans to launch a startup that delivers nimble, impact-oriented tech solutions for progressive causes.

Originally from Los Angeles, Sydney now lives in Washington, D.C. with her lab mix, Gertie, and her partner, Ben. On weekends, they’re often trail-running in Rock Creek Park or scouting out the best bagels in the DMV.
